#8 - DICE ROLLING
This is a tough one for some players to swallow. I will no longer GM or Play as a PC in any game where the GM does not roll the dice.
I wish I had realized this earlier in my pbp GMing career. Some of my now-dead games might still be alive, if I had.

The advice here is really cool. I had to say it again...
Edit on March 10, 2021: if I could apply this advice I would be confident that I could run a PbP. However, I don't think I quite have the capacity for it. (Or the time, at present).
I feel certain that this is reasonable and excellent advice all around. May I live and be in this hobby long enough to take some of it.

One piece of advice in particular was an "aha moment" for me. I run combat-heavy games, typically, so the posts repeatedly bogged down in crunch or waiting on players to roll. I suppose I could've just done most of that rolling myself to speed things along.
I assumed the players would hate that, but it honestly sounds like it'd be easier for all involved. I've had one game crash in spectacular fashion and one that is on life support, so this was a good read.
