I am not consistent, but I lean towards Referee and sometimes use DM. Why? Habit.

Referee. Though I used GM in the past. I never used GM, because the first thing that brings to mind is General Motors.

This one also looks like the poll disappeared.

That it does, weird as it was working April 11th when I voted.

I've got no idea what happened to the poll but I will try to recreate it and people will need to vote again. It baffles me.

I use GM, though I've been told the original title was "ghod."

I'm using "referee," but I'm slowly switching to "Umpire" to be more in keeping with 19th century wargaming parlance.

I use referee because it better describes the role of what I grew up calling "dungeon master". Referee, like umpire, implies a position of neutrality, of keeping the game on track.

I prefer being called the Referee, or GM.

To paraphrase Lloyd Haynes, "Chet" works fine for me.

I like Judge, it has dignity and finality.

I really dislike Gamemaster. My choice is always referee.

I'm a ref, that is the OD&D. Judge is for wargames, DungeonMaster belongs to AD&D and Gamemaster is for any new school game.
