I maybe seeing a neurologist in either December or January to see if I have any brain damage from the 5 untreated potential concussions that I have had. Not sure if I have any but I have issues remembering complex directions given verbally yet I can learn via observation and hands on use of skills. They also want to see if I suffer from ptsd or some other mental illness issues and how they can impact my ability to hold a job and whether I qualify for vocational rehab and/or SS disability. Hope all goes well with this, concussions are nothing to mess with. Hope all goes well and that you are able to get any assistance that you need. You are in my prayers.

So my 74 year old mom broke her left tibia this past Wednesday the old lady doesn't know her limits. Overburdened arms descending two steps and missed one.Broke femur on same side in 2016, both legs now sporting titanium. Kind of a human flagpole now lol. Doing well, now for pt and recuperation.

Wow, I broke my right leg when I was 28, I would not wish that on anyone. Will pray for her swift and complete recovery.

. . . concussions are nothing to mess with. . . . You are in my prayers. Agreed. A friend of mine [ten years younger than myself] just recently passed away in his sleep, apparently from a combination of the aftereffects of an untreated mild concussion with his anti-seizure medication.

Wow, that is rough, how recent was the concussion? From the bruising, it appears he had one of his fainting spells and collided with the corner of his nightstand on the way down. He apparently kept (or regained) enough consciousness to crawl up onto his bed, where he put his hand over his face and fell asleep (or passed out). He then just never work up.

I'm gonna be posting again. Wow, that sounds really painful. I am no stranger to backpain and injuries so I feel for you man. Are the pain meds what is making your spirits unusually high? Is your family upset about the injury or the high spirits? I will keep you (and your family) in my prayers and hope for a quick recovery. On another note, I am happy that the pain meds are working for you.

Sorry to hear about your wife's arthritis, my mother had rheumatoid arthritis and arthritis attacks are very painful. I will pray for her swift remission. How many ferrets does she have? How old was it?

Sorry to hear about the above troubles. I am myself doing okay, but a GM I met ~2 weeks ago (who was trying to start a weekly 5E game) just passed away suddenly. He had complications involving his liver, apparently a long-standing health issue. The nascent group passed away along with him. All but two of the players (me and another guy) apparently weren't interested in playing so much as in hanging out with him (an old friend of theirs). So it goes . . .

Things are good for me. All I have to do is get new glasses and get my teeth worked on. But this week I will be finalizing the set up phase so I can become a paid caregiver for DHS in Oregon. I will be gainfully employed. I will have a new computer rig and stable internet I will be posting more often here and on my blogs again. I wish mao the best and a speedy recovery.

My wife had 15 ferrets. Lost one and gained a total bad girl wild biter ferret. She rescues abandoned ferrets. You have heard of the Mother of Dragons? She is the Mother of Ferrets!

I did not know there was such a thing as abandoned ferrets. Are they that common as pets? I would imagine that there are people who get tired of ferrets as pets. They're too intelligent and cantankerous for the lazier sort. I used to game with a fellow who had a couple of ferrets. They were miraculous escape artists. I don't think we had a single session that wasn't interrupted at some point by a Chase Down The Escaped Ferret Fandango.
