I am really curious about my fellow D&D nerds. I love BBT and watch just about every episode that's on 3 dif channels. Anecdotally, I've found my fellows not very interested.

I'm more option two than option one. But let me ask you this, who is your favorite character? Mine are Emily (Laura Spencer), and Emily (Katie Leclerc).

My vote is "What's BBT?" because there isn't a "I just don't watch it" option.
I saw the ads and said, "Yeah, I have no interest in this."

1. Big Bang Theory is Corporately Funded Mass Market Commercialism. A television program about hipsters marketed as nerds and advertises expensive toys and collectibles disguised as entertainment meant to keep viewers watching commercials.
2. An archaic but none-the-less effective method of brainwashing mass groups of people ages 18-35 into believing that everything is fine and offers a false sense of well being which persuades the viewer to find happiness by maintaining childish obsessions, vs. seeking true spiritual well-being and maturity.
3. A method of self-hypnosis which allows a person to stare at an electronic box for hours on end without moving and replaces the individual's thoughts and feelings with manufactured simulations.

My wife and I watch it, we record it and fast forward through the commercials. I remember the few times they have played "D&D" and I have to laugh, even if they were as smart as they are supposed to be, they wouldn't last long IMC. We like Penny and Stuart. They would both make good D&D players, the others not so much. Stuart would Bloom in the right environment (pun intended).

Have not seen TV programs since throwing out the set in the mid 80s. But what you describe sounds like quite the familiar millenial-mindset these days.

No option for "never watched it" even though I know what it is. I simply have never found myself so bored I needed to resort to television for entertainment. I have TV reception because I live in tornado country.

I saw about a minute of it when it was first on.
I thought "Guess I'll never hear of this obvious flop again."
How wrong I was...

What?!? Do you take me for some kind of beast? Let me be hank ... err ... frank ... that accusation makes me feel all blue (and furry). I shall have to become an avenger of that remark so you'll know I'm the real McCoy. Don't mind my Grammar, Kelsey.

Or perhaps become as one to whom the British monarch has bestowed the highest heraldic order that the British monarch can bestow.

I watched one episode and that is a half-hour of my life that I will never get back. Just taking the Sheldon character alone, how could anyone voluntarily hang around with him for years, be his roommate, or at the extreme want to be his spouse. It breaks the suspension of disbelief for me.

I voted what is BBT? I don't watch TV, I tried it along time ago and didn't like it, I would much rather read a book or spend time outdoors.

And didn't old Scrooge McDuck seem strange, for a Scotsman, to use England's greatest honor as an exclamation?

I'll bite, I never read many of those comics, what was it if you please, I am not sure what you mean by England's greatest honor. I thought it was being knighted and I am not sure how that could be an exclamation, so I am assuming it must be something else.

The Royal Order of the Garter, a phrase that only sounds weird in the 20th and 21st centuries, is occasionally referred to as the "Star and Garter" due to the starburst on the medal/ribbon/award/patch. (We Americans tend to think in terms of medals, even though we use all the terms even if an award is only a plaque.) Wildly enough, I actually found an article with at least one photo of the starburst. I had supposed there wasn't much on the internet other than Wikipedia - and I rarely trust Wikipedia. Thus the inevitable "Oh my Stars and Garters!" became an expletive as early as the 16th century, perhaps earlier. www.heraldicsculptor.com/Garters.html
