What you think you know: Most monsters are Chaotic and probably evil to boot.
What the reality is: Most "Monsters" are like the regular PC races, they may be of any alignment and may not be evil at all.
Orcs for example (about 5% of orcs are lawful, 60% neutral, and 35% Chaotic and of the total about 10% happen to also be evil)
Therefore this is not a murderhobo world or game and you get no XP's for killing.

What you think you know: Most monsters are Chaotic and probably evil to boot. The Church of the One God seems to be (at least according to your recent post) based roughly upon medieval Catholicism. And Sora was raised by said Church. So Sora is going to operate on the assumption that monsters are EVIL, particularly as he does not yet have the ability to detect the presence of EVIL . . . and even when he gets it, he'll only be able to detect strong EVIL . . . "Well, I can't detect EVIL in it. But that may just mean it's not *totally* EVIL . . . yet."Which is okay! This gives increased opportunities for roleplaying, as Sora comes slowly to the realization that simply killing all the monsters isn't the Good thing to do.

Sora was not taught by the church that all monsters are EVIL, in fact there are some who believe that some monsters may be redeemable. Sora due to experiences in his early childhood has been particularly resistant to those ideas; however, he is able to deal with those who occupy places in the community, such as the ogre who runs the bar.
