Check this for the both the oldest and latest information of all kinds from all sources. Reliability can range from Zero to OK. As you discover things in the game play thread I will be posting them here so you can refer back to this. Some things, based on events, may disappear in which case I will try to do a strikethrough as you learn those things.

While exploring the town and hanging out at The Laughing Ogre you begin to hear about various things in no particular order.
There are a couple of cararans setting out in a few days. One heading southwest from Duraham after stopping for a week to rest the animals, stock back up on provisions and collect more trade goods. It arrived from Tortune and is traveling to Forked Creek Lake. The second is heading east to Morehume having arrived from Zenifami and stopped for similar reasons. Both are hiring right now. They have heard of bandits making a comeback and the first caravan of the two saw the burned out remains of a caravan and many bodies. Some of the bandits it is said are slavers.
Stories are trickling in from the northwest (open frontier) of more trouble with raiders of all persuasions and various merchant houses are traveling through towns hiring troops to put the raiders down.
From the northwest, north, northeast and from the south there are a number of rumors of new ruins having been discovered and fabulous treasures waiting to be discovered. Some of you recognize some of these as tales you have heard from childhood and others are new and you think could be true.
One story out of the northwest stands out as a massive ancient ruin that even the raiders shy away from and a survivor made it back to tell the tale of a haunted jumbled mass of stones all are afraid to enter.
Reportedly some small villages to the north of Duraham are being troubled by werewolves and a few local clerics are looking for some adventurous types to travel with them to put this outbreak down.
A local mage is reportedly seeking some brave souls to retrieve an item for him and the pay may even be worth the risk. It is said that many who work for this mage never return.

The local mage has started advertising for the capture of a troll or trolls to be delivered to him suitably restrained.
There are reports of a strange glowing rock that fell from the sky, but the wereabouts of it are quite vague.
Rumors of an invasion in the east have started circulating amid rumors of a call up to begin soon of the able bodied to serve in the army.

The local mage has started advertising for the capture of a troll or trolls to be delivered to him suitably restrained. So *this* is the job some of the group were thinking of taking on? A party of first level characters going troll-hunting? Riiiiiiiight.

You know, were my character Evil, I would suggest that we find out who's taking either of these jobs and then quietly follow them. Once they've accomplished their mission and are on their way back - wounded and weary - we would then ambush them and turn what they've recovered in for the reward. Just saying . . . Mmmmm. I wish Sora were smarter. Then he might think of this and decide to check if the idiots who do take said jobs *are* being followed.

Both caravans left early this morning

Troops with the merchant houses are to head out in a couple of days
From the northwest, north, northeast and from the south there are a number of rumors of new ruins having been discovered and fabulous treasures waiting to be discovered. Some of you recognize some of these as tales you have heard from childhood and others are new and you think could be true.
Other groups are also leaving town today seeking ruins in various directions, you may run into one of them or not.
One story out of the northwest stands out as a massive ancient ruin that even the raiders shy away from and a survivor made it back to tell the tale of a haunted jumbled mass of stones all are afraid to enter.
You of course are heading towards this one.
Reportedly some small villages to the north of Duraham are being troubled by werewolves and a few local clerics are looking for some adventurous types to travel with them to put this outbreak down.
A party with some of Tuck's buddies (clerics) is leaving later in the week to deal with the werewolves.
A local mage is reportedly seeking some brave souls to retrieve an item for him and the pay may even be worth the risk. It is said that many who work for this mage never return.
The local mage has started advertising for the capture of a troll or trolls to be delivered to him suitably restrained.
Two different groups were seen heading to the mage's tower this morning.

A local hero of sorts is still recruiting a group for the expedition.
There are reports of a strange glowing rock that fell from the sky, but the wereabouts of it are quite vague.
Now it is said this happened a couple of weeks travel to the north.
Rumors of an invasion in the east have started circulating amid rumors of a call up to begin soon of the able bodied to serve in the army.
New rumors are being heard and travelers say the army recruiters are on their way here. New interest in other things to do with ones life are at a fever pitch as can be seen from all of the parties leaving or preparing to leave.
