Gory Flory, OK guys, assuming the answer to those questions is a no, what do you want to do? "I think we should make one good try on the door and then move on unless someone has a better idea. Maybe these are one way doors that only open out and we just have to find another way in."

Apologies folks, i posted earlier but it looks like my post didn't post. Yulgit attempts to force the door and (referee dices 1d6=?), the monstrous door opens readily to his touch. Beyond is a large chamber. 20' to the right of the doorway stands one wall, the remaining walls lie beyond the periphery of your torchlight. Those torches, by the way, are beginning to burn low. At the end of this turn you will need to take 10 minutes to rest and relight torches. The party has 90' of movement left this turn. Attachments:

Gory Flory says," OK, lets move into the room slowly and carefully. Zipper take my staff, if you will and check the floor in front of the party as we advance into the room. ZU-ZU!! lets you and I get a new torch lit to replace the one before it goes out. Mensa please flank Zipper with weapons at the ready, just behind the line of his advance and check with the staff." We continue to keep a look out in the hallway as we move into the room. "Yuglit once we are inside spike the door in the open position, then move up to the flank opposite Mensa."

Zipper has an uncharacteristic soft spot for the acolyte who bought him a drink, but he’s not interested in leading the way (and he’s a little unsure about Mensa flanking him—what’s that dwarfling’s crazy smile all about anyway!?!). Zipper looks at Yulgit in his plate mail and with his spear. “Here, let me spike the door, then I’ll follow you in. I’’ll be right behind you with my dagger.”

What will Zipper be driving the iron spikes into the door with?
Flory, Mensa, and Yulgit advance into the room with torches lit. The room spans 80' wide by 50' across. The ceiling rises maybe 20' to great vaulted archways far overhead. There are doors in all four walls. The floor is smashed here, and clumps of lichen cling to the walls, where the large stones have tumbled and broken.
At the center of the room, ten stone sarcophagi are scattered about. Four lie empty with the enormous topslabs removed. The remainder are shut.
Exploration Turn 6
The party now needs to rest and light new torches.
Exploration Turn 7
The party feels refreshed and continues their exploration. What are your orders for this turn?

If his chutzpah and a little pommel pounding are not enough to wedge or otherwise stay the door, Zipper will inspect the stone Mensa brought over to see if it’s indeed large enough to hammer with. If not, Zipper will sheepishly ask for Yulgit’s help, so that Yulgit can hammer the spikes in with his axe's poll. Given the door's immense size and heft, Zipper would use three spikes spread out over the outer half of the door.
EDIT: Zipper also checks the inside of the door to see if it has a handle of some kind...?

Let's check for any secret doors and let's see if there is anything else in this room and what the size of the room is," suggests Gory Flory.

ZU-ZU!! takes up a position guarding the door with her staff at the ready while the others give the room a thorough going over. If anything comes she will sound the alarm and quickly move to the left of the door near the wall.

Mensa makes a cursory inspection for secret doors or odd construction (1d6=?), but notes nothing that is any more extraordinary than the rest of the place.
Zipper starts hammering spikes through the door, and the referee rolls for wandering monsters because of the noise (1d6=?). ZuZu stands guard, but nothing seems to show up.
What are your orders for exploration turn 8?

While the others check the doors, Zipper sneaks a peek into the empty Sarcophagi to make sure they're truly empty of any goodies and don't hold any secret compartments.

Mensa charges the second door (1d6=?), and it opens readily to a long passage leading straight ahead to a murky darkness beyond the reach of torchlight. Zipper inspects the four empty sarchophogi. They are hewn from stout black stone, and were once polished to a gleam, but have since been weathered by age. (1d6=?) He can find no secret compartments, and the empty ones hold nothing but dust and detritus. ZuZu stands watch, but sees nothing coming from the corridor. Attachments:
