San is also dressed up with blade at side.
Ready to go!
Yes, baroness, we always need to use whatever we can to make it work on alien soils.

"Shall we pair off then captains, madame baronne? I posess neither the avarice nor placid temperment for quibbling over minutia of trade contracts and prefer to secure intelligence on this system.

Shelby, I am fine with deCloudforte's suggestion if you are.

OK, I am a bit confused.
Who is going where and what will they be doing? Who is staying behind? Can I get a summary?

It appears that San, Bron and Shelby are meeting with the Beowulf's officers.
Buzz seems to be kicking his feet back on the bridge, so I think he's staying aboard.
Gregoire wants to gather intel on the locals...off ship, I think. Hutch I'm not sure about, but how about he goes with Gregoire?

Buzz leans forward, punches a button on the console, and addresses the crew on the intercom: "They've seen off-worlders before, folks, it's not like you're going to start an interstellar conflict here. Just mind yer pees and queues with the locals, do good business, and we'll be fine."

Just don't break the ship while were're gone, okay?"
"San, if you and Shelby are ready, let's go meet the locals." Bronson says to the two with him. Bronson will leave the ship and head for the location given them for the Blue Parrot bar. He will look for a "you are here" sign or kiosk where he can get directions. If the bar is within walking distance, and I'm hoping it is, he'll suggest walking. This will give us a chance to look the area over as we make our way to the bar.

Bron and San check the starport monitor with the glowing YOU ARE HERE arrow, and see the Blue Parrot is about a five minute conveyor walk away. The double belt system has the occasional traveller on it, but travel is not heavy in the foreign quarter. Occasionally a glimpse of the planet below or sky outside is seen through duraglass partitions between the bays.A sputtering neon sign with a picture of a multi-colored bird and the words B_UE _ARROT underneath captures their eyes. There is no bouncer at the door, and the bar is empty (except for a bored-looking bartender, one of the tall thin cat-like natives)

de Cloudforte decides a sensible first step would be to determine where he is in the starport.
He looks about for a wall-mounted fire escape plan, a tourist kiosk with brochures, or any other map to get his bearings by.

The bartender looks up and smiles a fanged smile. "Of course, honored merchant, let your servant check his currency converter." He plays with a device for a minute. "Very good, each one seems to be worth 1.23 Atlantian tigers, you are in good fortune today. Would you like to run a tab?"
He sets out two orange-colored frothy beverages, then answers San's question. "Time of day has little meaning here in space, it all depends on the merchant traffic. Over the next few hours, I expect to see a dozen or maybe two customers, and it could get boisterous"

Bron nods and returns the bartender's smile, making sure to show just as much, but no more teeth than the native did, "Yes, if you please, I would like you to run a tab for my Captain and myself." "We were to meet some members of a ship crew here, The Beowulf is her name." Bron says as he takes the glass in his hand, "Would you know if they have arrived yet?" Bron will sip the local brew...how does it taste?

The brew is slightly spicier than most, with a sharp zingy taste. Definitely not a fast-drinking brew. The server punches a few keys into a datapad, and looks up. "The Beowulf docked 30 minutes ago. Unless held up by Customs, they should be here shortly." As he finishes speaking, the door opens and two men walk in. "Ahh, here is Captain Jamieson now". A non-descript middle-aged man with that indefinable air of command walks into the bar. He has a long blade at his hip. Behind him is a tall, slender blonde man, perhaps ten years younger. He has a dagger at his side.

Bron suggests we take a table and talk. He'll move to a table away from any prying ears so we can talk without being overheard.
"So, Captain Jamison have you been plying these spacelanes for a long time?" Bron asks, sipping his brew, "We're new to these parts ourselves."

"Been running Atlantia to Woryn the last two year, make a decent living. Things are sketchy beyond that, but Woryn has a lot of people, and they're rich. You're not going to saturate that market any time soon. And there is a thribing undermarket, if you know what I mean"

Thanks makofan, I've been a bit out of it the last few weeks, lots to do! I should be able to post more frequently now.
de Cloudforte navigates through the info kiosk to determine the location of the nearest Imperial office and how to access the spaceport's exterior (it is one massive enclosed structure?).

Ah, well, it's probably been the best of an hour, and time to run that checklist. Buzz heads to engineering with the bastard clipboard, but if possible he patches in the audio from the away team so he can at least check their progress ...

I envision the spaceport looking something like this There are shuttles down to the surface, and small type E landing ports by several major cities. The exterior is only accessible through maintenance exits. There is an Imperial office in sector 3A of the spaceport, and the map gives you directions
